Reversable garnet and ruby necklace

This reversable pendant is handcrafted using traditional sandcasting techniques, creating an organic, textured surface that reflects the raw beauty of the process. One side is golden bronze and takes on a warm, earthy glow, with a cast in place garnet. The other side has been soldered with a textured silver finish, featuring two small hand set lab made rubies.

Our decision to use precious metals as well as some lab created gemstones is that they are very high on MOHS scale meaning they are incredibly durable and heat resistant.

Hand poured, casted and finished so each creation is unique!

Sand casting dates back to as early as 704BC. This ancient form of casting jewellery involves creating a pattern (by carving for example) and then using sand or earth to create a mold from the pattern.
Metal is then melted to extreme temperatures and poured into the mold. The metal is allowed to cool and the casting is then removed from the sand/earth.
The casting is then shaped, sanded and polished ready for you!
